836M
The Project
I was hired by 836M, a non-profit arts organization in San Francisco known for working with major artists such as Banksy and Jean-Michel Othoniel. One of their landmark projects was Othoniel’s Compass Rose, temporarily installed in Golden Gate Park. The mission: build enough public support to persuade the San Francisco Arts Commission to make the installation permanent.
The Challenge
Convincing the Arts Commission required more than presenting the artwork’s cultural value. We needed clear, measurable proof that Compass Rose inspired strong engagement and interest from the public, both locally and in global art centers.
The Approach
I designed and managed a digital advertising campaign targeting art lovers all over the world.
The campaign focused on:
-
Driving visibility, clicks, and shares across social platforms.
-
Engaging audiences with compelling visuals and storytelling.
-
Collecting signatures and analytics to demonstrate public demand.
The Results
The campaign successfully generated widespread engagement and a strong base of signatures. This data helped build a compelling case presented to the San Francisco Arts Commission, ultimately convincing them to approve Compass Rose as a permanent installation in Golden Gate Park.
